International Day of Charity

It’s not how much we give, but how much love we put into giving.
— Mother Teresa

The purpose of international day of charity is to highlight organizations or activities that focus on helping others. The United Nations chose to celebrate international day of charity on September 5th to commemorate the passing of Mother Teresa. Mother Teresa was a Nobel Peace Prize winner, world renown missionary and nun. For over 45 years she dedicated her life to helping the poor, orphaned, sick and more.
All over the world, students like you are taking time to donate to charitable causes, make a difference in their communities and reflect on how they can be a positive change in the world. If you enjoy charity work research a career in policy-making, volunteer coordinator, philanthropist, or nonprofit program director.
