Polk County Public Schools and higher education institutions prepare students to pursue advanced degrees in manufacturing. Polk State College President Angela Garcia Falconetti, said that 21.4% of Polk County’s workforce is supply chain or logistics. In all, four of the county’s colleges have manufacturing programs. In addition, several middle schools and high schools have manufacturing pre-academies.
